There's so much going on, and so much I should ramble on about... I really have to get my rear in gear and get blogging...
Sarah and I went to an exercise class at HIPE yesterday, and I LOVED it. I think it was exactly what I needed to kick my ass into gear. Yesterday morning (I think), Tosca Reno tweeted something about a plateau that lasts several months isn't a plateau - it's a "stall". And it's true. That "plateau" word is just an excuse so much of the time. So I'm looking at things differently, and kicking myself into high gear. And that HIPE class was definitely in a higher gear for me. I've been fooling myself thinking that I'm working lately. THAT was working. I was feeling some serious burn. And I'm oh-so-very happy to say that I'm not miserably sore today. I can feel it, but I'm not dying. ;) A year ago, I couldn't have made it through even half of that class. I'm gettin' there!
And today, well, I have high hopes for today. I'm feeling great, and it's a gorgeous sunny day for a change. I am making today clean! And I'm making today productive. Breakfast was an egg white scramble overflowing with spinach, steel-cut oats with cinnamon and flaxseed meal, and an apple (my current "usual"). I'll be headed to church in a bit, then back to fix pork steaks with broccoli and cauliflower for lunch. And then later this afternoon, the H.H. and I are going to seminars about our respective committees at church. Jack is kickin' a little bit of butt at his wrestling meet (I'm so proud of him!), and the girls are both still sleeping in and re-charging their batteries so they can be ready for the week ahead. All-in-all, it's shaping up to be a great day!
