Yesterday (Tuesday) was Vacation Day 4. Sarah and I went to an outlet mall and shopped our little hearts out for much of the day. We found a few really good deals, but we also got a fair share of "sticker shock" at some stores. I mean, really... how can a pair of jeans truly be worth $249???? High prices aside, we had a pretty successful shopping excursion. We each found a few cute things, and were happy with the day.
While we shopped, the H.H. and Jack-man went to the "big" pool for a little swimming and splashing. When I say "big" pool, I'm being literal. The pool at the main resort hotel here on the complex holds 1,000,000 gallons of water. Yes, that's ONE MILLION gallons. It's HUGE.
After a relaxing day of swimming, shopping, and then napping (H.H.), we headed out to find a place for dinner. Naturally, it couldn't just be a simple thing for us to do. That just wouldn't be "us". Just about 90 seconds out of the resort, Charlie missed the turn for International Drive, and ended up on the toll road section of the highway. And, as you know, once you're on the toll road, you can't just get off and turn around - it's just not designed that way. We ended up sort of circling around and coming back down International Drive from the other end. We got where we were going, and it was only a few extra minutes out of our way, but it was a little frustrating for the H.H.
Anyway, back to dinner... If you know us, you know we often search out restaurants with a Celtic theme. Well, we'd driven past a place called "Tilted Kilt" several times, so we decided to go and check it out. Jack, it turns out, was quite happy with our choice... I didn't know it at the time, but apparently the "Tilted Kilt" is a chain, and the waitresses wear uniforms that, while cute, are a akin to a hooters uniform. Jack especially liked the place.
